Mary Walker

I have been painting for about twenty years and am largely self taught, though I spent some years studying watercolour with with Antonia Black. I am grateful for her encouragement and enthusiasm. I am lucky to live and work in the Cotswolds, where the ever changing landscape is a constant delight and inspiration.

For me, the attraction of painting is all about colour. The excitement of being able to manipulate paint to create vibrant and colourful images is all important. I have experimented in many mediums and have recently enjoyed an organic theme with a contemporary twist in acrylic and oils. I am now working on a series of mixed media landscapes inspired by holidays in Italy, France and Greece. I try to capture the essence of the countryside in colour, form and texture.

I have exhibited regularly in the Cotswolds and have sold work both at home and abroad.
