Lindy Allfrey

I specialise in portraiture and still life having studied in Florence, London and workshops in New York.

I have moved recently to a house with a wonderful studio in Stow on the Wold, where I also hold oil painting workshops.

In Still Life, my inspiration is to use fruit and vegetables and with them bring a dramatic element, with shadow, light and glow of colour, sometimes with elements of character.

My challenge in portraiture is to bring the inner thought in addition to the likeness, to show emotion, to find the positive in everything and everyone I see.
