Carolyn I'Anson
Carolyn I'Anson studied fashion design at art school in the late sixties and went on to work for Susan Small and then, for many years, designing children's wear for Marks & Spencer.
Over the years that her children were small, she freelanced for several manufacturers and then ran a very successful ball gown hire and design business in Gloucestershire. Working under the name 'Design Workshop' she has diversified into guilding, upholstery and special paint effects, also silk-screen printing kitchen linens. She has designed several silk scarves for the Bugatti Owners Club and other motoring events.
She took up watercolour painting in 1996 under Antonia Black and has moved on to Acrylics. She has exhibited in Gloucestershire, various venues in Wales (where she now lives) and in France. She has also shown at The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2006.
