Vincent Yorke's Exhibition of Still Lifes
Saturday 29th - Monday 31st August 2009
Having studied at the Slade during the 1960s,Vincent Yorke lives and works in London and Gloucestershire. Since 1987, he has concentrated almost exclusively on portraiture, with many private and public commissions to his name.
His portraits are remarkable and so are these evocative and beautifully crafted still life paintings – described with undue modesty by the artist as his ‘light relief’. Previous exhibitions include:
- the Cercle d'Art, Brussels
- Gallerie Elisabeth Franck, Belgium;
- Prema Gallery, Stonehouse
- Tanyard Gallery, Winchcombe
- Royal Society of Portrait Painters, Mall Galleries, London
- the Russell Gallery, London
- Mallett at Bourdon House Ltd, London
